Naylin Appanna – Gynecologist/Surgeon

I was born in South Africa and I have spent pretty much all of my adult life in New Zealand and regard myself as a Kiwi. I am a fanatical All Blacks supported and have been on the Waikato Supporters Club Committee. I’m also one of those rare people that love watching league as much as I do rugby.
I take great pride in my work and while keeping my working at a very high standard clinically, I also like to relax and enjoy life. I am married to Sandie, who is one of the practice nurses and have 2 kids, Nisha aged 19 and Vishan aged 17. We often get away (usually to a rugby or league game with the kids although, I don’t think they will want to travel with us too often soon).  I still play competitive squash for the Waikato Hospital team but my latest “addiction” is my Jet Ski. I am also ‘just for fun” studying computer programming at Waikato University.
